We started Arha to bring the handloom sarees of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh to women everywhere — chosen from the regions that weave them, and described as they really are.
Every saree we sell is made in India, most of them on handlooms: Pochampally Ikat, whose pattern is tie-dyed into the threads before a single row is woven; Gadwal, with its silk borders; feather-light Uppada Jamdani; everyday Mangalagiri cotton; hand-painted Kalamkari; and more. Small variations in colour and weave are the mark of a human hand, not a flaw.
On every saree's page we name its weave, its fabric and the place it was woven, and we photograph it as it is. If anything isn't right when it arrives, our returns and customer care are there to put it right.
